ABOUT US

Veneto Sport Awards, Inc. is a family owned and operated business. Alan was born in the Padova (Padua) province of Italy's Veneto region, to which we have strong ties--hence, the name of our company. Selling sport awards is a natural outgrowth of our own love of sports and the outdoors: between the three of us, we practice cycling, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, downhill and cross-country skiing. 

The Veneto region (located in the northeast part of the country) is renowned for its lovely historic cities filled with art treasures and architectural gems, as well as for the natural beauty of areas such as the Dolomites, location of famed ski resorts Cortina d'Ampezzo and Arabba, and ski areas such as the Marmolada, the Civetta, and the Val di Zoldo. Montebelluna and the surrounding area are the world capital of sports footwear manufacturing, with companies such as Sidi, Gaerne, Diadora, Duegi, Alpine Stars, Scarpa, Asolo, Nordica, Dolomite, Tecnica, Salomon, Dal Bello, and Northwave headquartered here. Bicycles, bicycle components, technical sportswear, and sports eyewear are other major industries. The Veneto's sports-minded inhabitants enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities, including alpine and cross country skiing, cycling and mountain biking, hiking, hangliding and paragliding, rock climbing, and kayaking.  

The background of our logo is a Venetian gothic window, one of the area's prevalent architectural features. The winged lion of St. Mark, patron saint of Venice, is the symbol of the Veneto region.
